To do this, you will need to take off the sector plates for the rear lift arms. The rear lift arms will be connected with hairpins and washers, so you need to take those off. Then, adjust the sector plate so that it is in a position of being a quarter of an inch lower in the back. If you can't adjust the sector plates any lower, you might need to make adjustments to the lift front rods. This involves taking off the washer and hairpin that connects the front rear arm with the front lift cable. Then turn the front lift cable so that it can go into the front arm without having the deck raised.

Not long ago, I talked to a brilliant young lady who has a new invention that she would like to market to the world. Of course, she already has a day job, but she would like to use this as her ticket out of the 9-to-5 world, and help launch her career as a successful venture, innovator, and entrepreneur. Can someone actually bring a new invention to market if they still have a day job? Yes, I believe they can, and there are many success stories of those who have. No, it's not going to be easy, but even if you only spend a few hours a night you can put together a pretty decent business plan, work on your prototype, do the patent searches, and do market studies to learn if what you want to produce, if your original thought and concept can actually make it in the real world. Further ponder the fact that at 6-8 and a muscular 240 pounds and with uncanny speed, quickness and leaping ability, LeBron James can handle the ball like a point guard, shoot like most decent (not great, yet) off guards, and post up with the best forwards and centers in the NBA. He blocks shots like a center, can shut down anyone, with his size and quickness, and he gets to the basket and draws fouls better than anyone. He creates a mismatch every night, because he is completely unguardable.

Finally, in just his second year, he's taken a team that won 17 games prior to his arrival to a 50-win pace. And for the first time since the early 1990s, the Cavaliers are now a legitimate playoff contender. I doubt any coach in the league wants to face the Cavaliers and LeBron James in a seven-game series.

So, when people want to discuss the greatest players in the game, tell them to forget any argument that doesn't start and end with the name LeBron James.

So You Wanna Be a Cowgirl?

Seems there's a resurgence of interest in all things Western, probably because we love the idea of living wild and free. The West is unimaginably beautiful - God's Country they call it out here in Colorado. A few years ago I quit my job, sold everything and moved here to work outside. I'd hardly call myself a cowgirl, but it sure is fun playing at one.

There's nothing comparable to waking up to the Sangre de Cristo mountains turning purple, pink, then white in the morning sun. From my bedroom (which is also my living room, kitchen and office) I can see a herd of 60-some horses, heading down from the trees where they huddled the night before, and looking for hay. I'll pull on my jeans (have to go out anyway, to use the "facilities" such as they are) and head down to the pasture. Some days, a bunch of them will just walk up to me like puppy dogs, sniffing me and covering my face with their warm, sweet breath. Horses transmit amazing power to me somehow and I'm awed and humbled by them. I'm also grateful to be able to make a living hanging around them.

I'm not a real cowgirl, mind you. Transplanted from Jersey, I'm just a city girl lucky enough to have shucked everything to play outside. Sure I get knee high in it; I tack and ride them and help with round up and horse chores but the cowboys tolerate me. They know I'm just a dude (city slicker) and pretty harmless. Cowboys can be very sexy and alluring in the short run but believe me, when you work a ranch they expect you to haul your own saddle, and carry your weight in every way. They sure don't cotton to "helpless" out here.

I was a lawyer and a teacher; I've raised three boys by myself. Part of this new beginning is just detoxing from my stress-filled existence. You may need to do the same thing.
